Years ago, I was working in the corporate industry and struggled with my health conditions, depression and feeling like there was no way out. After hitting rock bottom in 2010, almost loosing my life by trying to take it, I turned to therapy and began prioritising my physical and mental health. I realised that my asthma was being aggravated by my poor lifestyle habits, and through functional breathing techniques, I was finally able to get off my medication and become drug-free.

I am driven to help you get to the bottom of your respiratory, physical and mental health issues so that you can breathe easier, wake up after a good night’s sleep with less stress and anxiety. 

My ultimate goal is to work with you to unpack the symptoms of weight gain, dependence on medication, poor sleep, laboured breathing, allergies, mental fog, lethargy, chronic stress and anxiety to define what the root causes are.

We then work together to develop an integrated (physical, mental and emotional) and systematic approach  to helping you overcome your symptoms and stressors. I will provide you with insights, direction and support putting on the roles of coach, friend and drill sergeant (when needed).

The support you receive depends on what and where your gaps are. One day we could look at dialling in your nutrition, while others we will look at how we can integrate movement + breathing practices into your daily routine, develop strategies and daily rituals to focus more and manage stress better, address what your core emotional needs are and how your support systems are serving you.

I was at my lowest so that I could become my strongest.

Hi there, I am Luke your Breathing and Mental Wellness Coach and I overcame depression and asthma.

It was a dark time in my life, and I felt like there was no way out. The asthma made it hard to breathe, and the depression made it hard to find any joy in life. It was a constant battle, and I felt like I was losing.

And in 2010, I hit rock bottom. I tried to take my own life in a drug induced psychosis. Emergency services found me lying unconscious, I was hanging on a thin thread.

Fortunately, my time wasn’t up yet. 

Through therapy, I learned to manage my depression and suicidal thoughts. It wasn't easy, and there were setbacks along the way, but I kept going. As I got better, I started to focus on my physical health as well.

I realised that my asthma was being aggravated by my poor lifestyle habits. I started to train intentionally. And although I made a switch from high animal protein to a plant-based diet, my respiratory health still impaired me. It was only until I relearned how to breathe, did I finally get off my medication and have been drug free for years. What used to be my weakness is now my strength.

Doing the inner work and prioritising my mental and physical health, it became  my mission to be a disciple of my personal development and growth to overcome the void I felt, to become more.

I take an integrative approach to combining physical, mental, and emotional health to help high performers break free from the medical system. I want to help others who are going through what I had gone through, to not make the same mistakes I made. I am now also a mentor for a suicide prevention organisation and I am driven to help people to overcome mental, respiratory health issues and other health conditions using an integrated approach.

I am grateful for the journey that brought me to where I am today. I have a newfound appreciation for life, and I want to use my experiences to help others find hope, healing and strength.
